No, this body shell is secured with your existing clips (the small metal pins that hold the shell). If you are missing some due to losses on the field, add a pack of 1/16 body clips to your cart.

Are there any modifications needed before installation?

None. This is an OEM part (original equipment manufacturer). The 4 mounting holes are already drilled and aligned with the chassis mounts. Installation takes just a few minutes without special tools.

Pro tip to extend the lifespan

Apply reinforced tape (duct tape) on the inside surface, around the clip holes and along the front/rear edges. This simple trick prevents cracks from spreading after a heavy impact.
