Worn shafts = mechanical play and power loss
Do you feel that your transmission has play? That the wheels no longer turn as smoothly as before? Optical shafts (also called drive shafts) are the parts that transmit rotation from the differential to the wheels. When they wear out, the entire drivetrain suffers: mechanical play, vibrations, power loss, and premature wear of other components.
These Suchiyu Optical Shafts (Ref. 16101-6039) measure exactly 4 x 30mm, a specific size that fits the housings of your SCY transmission. Their polished surface ensures smooth rotation in the bearings, without unwanted friction.
What new shafts change for your RC
⚙️ Direct Transmission: New shafts eliminate mechanical play and restore direct power transmission. Every turn of the motor results in precise wheel movement, without energy loss.
🔇 Mechanical Silence: Worn shafts cause clicking and vibrations. These new shafts restore quiet and smooth operation, a sign of a transmission in perfect condition.
💪 Stress Resistance: Hardened steel withstands the high torque of the brushless motor without bending or deforming. These shafts are designed to last, even under intensive use.
📦 Pack of 2: You receive 2 shafts, enough to replace a full set (front or rear) or to keep as a spare stock.
Confirmed Compatibility
These shafts are the exact parts factory-installed on the following models:
• SCY 16201 • SCY 16101 PRO

FAQ: Drivers' Questions
Expand to see the answers.
How do I know if my shafts need to be replaced?
Lift your vehicle and hold a wheel. Try to move it sideways (perpendicular to the axis of rotation). If you feel play, the shafts or bearings are worn. An audible clicking during driving is also a clear sign.
What is the difference between an optical shaft and a driveshaft?
An optical shaft is a rigid rod that transmits rotation in a straight line. A driveshaft (or drive axle) is jointed and can transmit rotation even at an angle. On SCY models, optical shafts are used for the wheels, while driveshafts connect the motor to the differential.
Pro tip to extend the life of the shafts
After each session in dusty conditions, clean the shafts with a cloth and apply a thin layer of silicone grease along their entire length. This prevents dust from settling and reduces friction in the bearings.
